Join Meg for this 90 minute dive into the theory and concepts of Dange Trapeze. This unique apparatus utilizes aspects of silks, lyra, and sling, while also incorporating modern dance modalities and classic circus techniques. Dive into these aspects and figure out exactly what type of inspiration you would like to bring into your own exploration of the apparatus. Previous experience not required, this will be open to all levels. About the teacher: Meg originally started her aerial journey at Canopy Studios in Athens, GA, which is one of the world’s most prominent dance trapeze creation centers. Through the wonderful instruction she received there, her love for this fantastic art form grew into something she wanted to share with others. Since then, she has been able to train with several other prominent circus artists to hone her art and create the curriculum she brings to this course. Please read the following before purchasing: CANCELLATIONS - All 6-week series can be cancelled for a full-refund until 48 hours prior to the start of series, and for a partial refund until 24 hours prior to the start of the series. We are unable to offer refunds within 24 hours of the start of the series. - Individual classes within a 6-week series cannot be rescheduled if missed; please be sure you can attend each class. We are fully insured for aerial and acrobatic sports to protect our students and our instructors. That said, aerial is a high risk sport, even the gentler varieties like aerial yoga, and should be treated as such. All students will be required to fill out a liability release form prior to attending class.
