Climbing... a necessity... NAY, an opportunity to dance! Let’s make the climbs so fun we forget how hard they are! In this workshop we learn the families of climbs, transition climbs that move freely between families, and arm ourselves with knowledge to create beautiful seamless sequences that take us high into the air. These concepts will allow you to make your own climbs, because going up does not feel so hard when it is interesting. Prerequisite: Must be able to safely climb to top of apparatus and straddle up multiple times throughout the class. Interested in taking both of Natalie’s workshops? About Natalie: Natalie Abell is a circus artist and coach that has toured the world and now calls the big island home. With over a decade of experience, she has instructed adults and youth at the top circus institutions in the United States including Circus Smirkus Big Top Tour, Circadium, Aloft Circus Arts, NECCA and more. As a coach she draws on her multifaceted background as an inventor/engineer, circus artist, and gymnast to create useful frameworks for learning with play, exploration and creativity. Thoughtfully examining the needs of each student, Natalie's classes are designed to pass on tools for creative problem solving empowering students at every level. Please read the following before purchasing: CANCELLATIONS - Workshops can be cancelled for a full-refund until 48 hours prior to the start of class, and for a partial refund until 24 hours prior to the start of the class. We are unable to offer refunds within 24 hours of the start of the class. We are fully insured for aerial and acrobatic sports to protect our students and our instructors. That said, aerial is a high risk sport, even the gentler varieties like aerial yoga, and should be treated as such. All students will be required to fill out a liability release form prior to attending class.
